Higher Education Partners

In May 2011, MCP invested in Higher Education Partners (“HEP”). Based in New Bedford, MA,
HEP meets a market need for cost-effective allied health degrees by partnering with
community colleges to expand their allied health programs using a hybrid model that
combines on-line education with traditional classroom instruction. Graduates of allied
health degrees are in great and ever-increasing demand, but state budget constraints
continually limit public colleges’ efforts to increase the numbers of students matriculating
into the allied health sciences. HEP bridges the gap between the high demand and lack of
state funding. HEP was started by The Princeton Review (“TPR”) in 2008 and commenced
classroom operations at Bristol Community College in August 2010. MCP and HEP management
purchased the unit from TPR with MCP investing further growth capital into the business.
